Two ecologic islands
in Ospedaletti

The Studio Associato Amoretti Calvi and the architect Giancarlo Ranalli have planned and realized two environments for urban solid refusal containers, the so-called "ecological islands" for the commune of Ospedaletti (IM).
The structure of every "island" is constituted by a hull of base made of concrete on which they have fixed some curve metallic plates made of special steel denominated COR-TEN, resistant to the corrosion and the mechanical solicitations. This steel, oxidizing itself, assumes a rust coloration that makes it particularly proper for the insertion in natural environments.
The metallic plate, pierced in the form of leaves, constitutes a back for the development of a vegetable screen of climbing plants.
A washing implant with relative unloading of the waste waters allows the hygienic maintenance of the place.
